Dana Carter Spent Twelve Years Watching the Alternative
Before DC Property, she sold homes for a large national franchise for twelve years. She watched buyers get rushed into decisions, sellers get promised outcomes that didn't happen, and no agent who actually knew the home they were selling.
In 2014 she opened DC Property with three agents and one rule: an agent only lists a home they'd actually want to live near. That's still the rule the agency runs on.
The AI Agent Runs the Same Rule
When Dana built the voice agent that answers your call, she gave it the instruction she gives every agent: don't guess. If it doesn't know a price, a size, or whether a listing's details are current, it says so, and puts you through to Thandi, Sipho, or Dana instead of filling the gap.
It exists because that rule only means something if it holds at 2am on a Sunday too, not just during office hours.
What We Won't Do
We don't advertise. Every client since 2014 came from a referral. We don't let the AI estimate what your home is worth, negotiate a price, or comment on what a seller might accept: that's a conversation with Dana, in person, every time. We don't list a home an agent wouldn't want to live near, whatever it would sell for.
And if you're already represented by another agency, we say so and step back. The assistant is built to stop that conversation there, not chase the listing anyway.
What You Can Hold Us To
- A price gets said exactly, never rounded: R9,250,000 is R9,250,000, not "around nine million."
- Every listing has one named agent who knows it and answers for it.
- Saturday viewings book until 1pm. Sunday works by request: nearest weekday slot, or a callback.
- After hours, the AI agent still answers, and books you into the next open slot.
- If a listing's details are incomplete, we tell you what's missing instead of guessing it.
